Pokémon Cafe Without a Reservation: Walk-ins, the Shop and Last-Minute Seats
Pokémon Cafe is reservation-only, but there are still a few ways in if you didn't book ahead. Here's what's realistic, and what isn't, as of November 2026.
Last checked against the official site: 16 October 2026

Can you walk in?
Only when there are same-day cancellations. Those seats are offered at the cafe entrance, so walking in is never guaranteed, and popular times are usually full.
If you're set on visiting, a reservation is the only reliable way in. Treat walk-in as a back-up plan.
Last-minute seats online
Guests can cancel online until 22:00 Japan time the night before their visit, and every cancelled seat goes straight back on the official reservation site. That makes the last few days before a date the best time to look.
Online booking for a given day closes at 08:00 Japan time on that day. After that, the only option is the cafe entrance.
Visiting the shop without a booking
You can visit the cafe's shop just to buy merchandise, without a seat reservation. Stock is limited, and you can buy up to 3 of each item (some items have lower limits).
Reservation-only items aren't sold in the shop. They can only be pre-ordered together with a seat reservation and collected at the cafe on the day.
If the dates you want are sold out
- 1Check the official site for released seats in the days before your date, especially in the evening Japan time before the 22:00 cancellation cut-off.
- 2Be flexible with time and branch: Tokyo and Osaka are booked separately.
- 3Choose the right party size: some seat types only take 1–2 people, others 2 or more.
