Going to Pokémon Cafe Alone: Which Seats Take One Guest (Tokyo & Osaka)
Yes, you can go to Pokémon Cafe on your own, but not every table accepts one person. Here's which seats to look for in Tokyo and Osaka, and what to know before booking a solo visit.
Last checked against the official site: 16 October 2026

Which seats accept one guest
- Tokyo: B seats (1–2 people) and C seats (1–6 people) accept a single guest. A seats need at least 2.
- Osaka: only C seats (1–6 people) accept a single guest. A and B seats need at least 2.
When you book, choose a party size of 1 first. The official site then only shows times with a seat type that accepts one guest.
Booking a solo slot
Solo slots open at the same time as everything else: the whole of the following month is released at 18:00 Japan time on the 1st. Seats that suit one or two people also come back when other guests cancel, up to 22:00 Japan time the night before the visit.
If you're travelling with someone who might join you, decide before booking. The party size can't be changed after the booking is complete.
On the day
- Arrive 15 minutes early in Tokyo (10 minutes for the first A-seat slot at 10:40) or 10 minutes early in Osaka.
- Every guest aged 6 or over orders at least one menu item, so a solo visit means at least one item for you.
- Your table is yours for 90 minutes, with last orders 30 minutes before the end.
- The short live show runs for all guests, so you don't miss anything by visiting alone.
Tokyo or Osaka for a solo visit?
Tokyo gives a single guest two seat types to choose from (B and C), while Osaka has only C seats for one person. If your plans could work in either city, check both: availability varies a lot from month to month.
Quick answers
Can you go to Pokémon Cafe by yourself?
Yes. In Tokyo, B and C seats accept one guest; in Osaka, only C seats do. Choose a party size of 1 when booking.
Is it easier to book Pokémon Cafe for one person?
Seats for one or two people are smaller tables, and they reappear when other guests cancel. Checking for cancellations in the days before your visit gives you more chances.
